Support the Maryville public library by becoming a friend of the library! Become a friend today by submitting a donation along side a filled out membership form.
As a small community library, we are not equipped to deal with large donations of books or materials. When items are donated, we take the time to go through the materials for items that can be added to our circulating collection. However, items not added to our collection are added to either our ongoing book sale or our free cart. The money collected from the ongoing book sale goes to support our community library.
The Maryville Community Library and the Friends of the Library will only be accepting donations on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month. Donations will not be accepted outside of these days.
We cannot accept the following:
VHS
Books older than 10 years
DVDs that are no longer in playing condition
Vinyl Records
Encyclopedias
Any books pertaining to medical or legal information older than 5 years
Donations are limited. Up to 3 boxes, per household, per month are accepted.
Any items that are damaged, written in, moldy or show any signs of insects or rodents having been around them will not be accepted. If the items you are wishing to donate have been stored in a basement or garage or any non-temperature-controlled environment, we cannot accept them.
If you have any questions regarding donations, please feel free to contact the Maryville Community Library at 618-288-3801 or
